Following the Zambian Head of State’s announcement to reopen schools during COVID-19 pandemic on Friday, 22nd of September during a parliamentary meeting, the Ministry of General Education has released a media statement concerning the dates set for learning to commence in the country.
All pupils in examination classes and third year students at institutions of higher learning are scheduled to report to school on 14th September, 2020.
Meanwhile, grades one to eleven pupils will commence school on the 22nd of September, 2020 while, University and College under TEVET are expected to open school on the 28th of September, 2020.
This has been done to give parents and guardians adequate time to prepare their children for school
Meanwhile, management for all academic institutions in the country has been advised to adhere to COVID -19 safety and health guidelines prescribed by the Ministry of Health in Zambia, to ensure the prevention of the spread of the novel Virus.
